Kalami Cebu! - A Gastronomic Guide to Cebu

I always associate eating at hotels with special occasions.  It could be a birthday, anniversary, or to celebrate milestones and achievements. Looking back, I would probably say that Cebu City Marriott Hotel is one of the hotels that has witnessed some of the best of moments of my life.  My wedding reception was actually held at this hotel several years ago. When I got an invite to try out their Sunday International Buffet, my heart definitely skipped a bit.  The international buffet at the hotel has always been a favorite for decades and it is a big privilege to be asked to eat it for free. The privilege is not limited to me as you will find something to cheer about if you read up until the end of this post.

 I was recently invited to Golden Prince Hotel to check out their special Mystical Eastern Buffet that will be served only this week. Since their Taste of Heaven Buffet is one of my favorite buffets in the city, I made sure that I was able to make it on their first day.  I even brought along my video partner Emjae Argallon of emjaefotos.com  and Chicken Pork Adobo network colleague Kiddie. The Mystical Eastern Buffet at Le Mon Restaurant at Golden Prince Hotel is definitely unique and highly recommended if you want to introduce your palate to Middle-Eastern, Meditteranean, South-East Asian, and Indian Cuisines.

Last Saturday, I tried out Diamond  Suites Cebu's Saturday dinner buffet dubbed as "International Feastival Buffet". All I can is that I was treated to a fantastic feast of delicious dishes from all over the world. At 408 pesos ($9), the eat all you can buffet at Diamond Suites Cebu is one of the best buffets in Cebu priced below 500 pesos.  I am quite sure that I have discovered one of the best places to eat on a Saturday night.

I was invited recently at the relaunch of Golden Prince Hotel's Taste of Heaven along with some of my friends from the Cebu Blogging Community. Just like any ordinary guy, I love eat-all-you-can buffets. I am the type of person who would like to taste everything and eat as much. I have been to many buffets and I was a bit taken aback at first of the name of hotel's buffet. Having heaven in the buffet name raised my expectations. After enjoying a fantastic meal, all my skepticism were erased. Taste of heaven became instant favorite because of its price, selection, and abundance of seafood dishes.
