Kalami Cebu! - A Gastronomic Guide to Cebu

I finally got a chance to eat at newly opened Gibb's Hot Wings branch at Streetscape in Maria Luisa Road Banilad when I was invited by its owner Frank Oliva on the media launch of the new branch. It is an eventful night as I was able to meet fellow bloggers and the foodpanda. I had a lot of pictures, but the highlight would be the different dishes that Gibb's will be offering to their customers.

I dropped by Streetscapes at Paseo Saturnino, Maria Luisa Road and saw several establishments in full operations.  There were also a few restaurants that had their "soft opening". One of the restaurants that caught my eye is Gibb's Hot Wings.  Gibb's has been one of my favorite places for hot wings in the city and I relish the idea that have a new branch in an up and coming commercial center.

Last month, I had a "Wing Night" when I when I went to dinner twice and ate at 2 of the best chicken wing places in Cebu.  The first one was Bad Boys Wingz in Talamban. After eating at Bad Boy Wingz, my wife and I proceeded to Gibb's at Hot Wings at Holy Family Subdivision II to meet up with her med school classmates.  We arrived at the home-based eatery way ahead of our friends which gave our bellies and mouths a time to recover.

In the past year, there have been several restaurants in Cebu that wants to claim "The Best Wings Place in Cebu" title.  The introduction of several chicken wing places cannot outpace the demand for delicious and spicy chicken wings. It is definitely a booming segment as many  Cebuanos flock to their favorite wing place.  Recently, I had a "wing night" with my wife and we restaurant-hopped in two of the best chicken wing places in Cebu. First, we visited the newly opened Bad Boys Wingz right across Bright Academy in Talamban. This wing place used to be a small, but very popular food stall at the BTC and because of the high demand of chicken wings, the owners opened a stand-alone restaurant. I would say it was an excellent decision because they really serve one of the best chicken wings in Cebu.
