Faro: An Interesting Restaurant in Liloan

Image
It has been a while since I last went to other towns to check out new restaurants.  Most of the time, I am confined to Cebu City.  When Herbert Kikoy of driftstories.com told me about a new restaurant in Liloan that was looking for bloggers to sample their food, I immediately said Yes.  I did not regret my decision because Faro is a restaurant that you should check out in Liloan, Cebu.

#KCGoestoBohol: Gustus

Image
In my recent trip to Bohol, I went to Dumuluan Resort to learn kayaking. After hours of struggling in  a kayak, I wanted to have a belly-busting dinner.  Our host during our Seas the Day tour brought us to Gustus and it really satisfied the carnivore in me.  The trip to Gustus was another eye-opening experience about the vastly improving gastronomic options in Bohol.

6-15-2015 Food of the Day: Sisig by Sisig in the City

Image
More and more people now are eating at malls rather than have a baon or go to carenderias. One of the favorite food stalls at the mall of Kalami Cebu Food Scout  +Nezte Virtudazo  is Sisig in the City.  He really enjoys eating the pork sisig at this stall at the 2nd level of Robinsons Cybergate Cebu.  Pork Sisig is a dish invented in Pampanga made of chopped pork face that became a popular pulutan or beer mate.  In recent years, the sisig became a favorite main dish of Filipinos as well.  Built on this popularity, several entrepreneurs opened restaurants and food stalls banking on their secret sisig recipe.

Foodtrip at Koa Tree House

Image
Koa Tree House is known here in Cebu is a good place for music and to chill but this place serves some very delicious meals.   A lot of their specialties could double as a pulutan but I also enjoy for lunch. A few months back, I had lunch there with some my Fitness First buddies and we really enjoyed it.  We do not eat much rice and Koa tree house has wonderful options for protein. We ordered sisig, pochero, and crispy shrimps. The sisig was crispy and I know it would have tasted better with a bottle Red Horse. The soup was a perfect meal after strength training. What I enjoyed the most in that meal was the shrimps. It was crunchy and I could probably finish an order all by myself. All in all, the three of us were able to finish a meal of pochero + 2 servings of sisig and shrimps. The price was alright and it was worth it. I having lunch there but I think Koa Tree House becomes ten times better at night. ;) Koa Tree House is located at Gorordo Avenue, Lahu...
