Kalami Cebu! - A Gastronomic Guide to Cebu

Just 3 days after my belly-busting Mother's Day experience at Feria , my mother arrived from Australia for a 2-week vacation. She arrived around 7 in the evening so the first thing we did was to look for a place to have dinner. My mom is very disciplined in her diet and she religiously follows what her doctor tells her to eat or not to eat. I decided to bring her to Carnivore Restaurants which is one of my favorite restaurants. She loved it there and it was a solid start of a fortnight full of food trips to some new places.

Mother's Day is one of the special occasions that we usually celebrate by eating out.  This year was a bit more special because I got to celebrate it twice - one for my mother-in-law and one for my mom. Since my mom is based in Australia, I rarely celebrate Mother's Day with her and for almost a decade, I just spend it with my wife and my parents in law. This recent summer, I first celebrated the special holiday for moms with my wife's family then a few days later, I got to spend a belated Mother's Day dinner with my mom.
