A lot of tourists come to Cebu to enjoy seafood and indeed, Cebu has a lot of excellent seafood restaurants.    One of the best is located in Mandaue City and it is called Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant.  I visited the place towards the end of the decade and  I had one of the best seafood meals in recent memory there.  This seafood restaurant should be on top of your list should you go hungry in Mandaue.

Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant, a Great Seafood Place plus More

Oyster Bay is located at Bridges Town Square, Plaridel Street, Mandaue City.  It is not located on the "touristy" side of the city but tourists love it here because it is the best seafood place closest to the Mactan Cebu International Airport.

The restaurant has a chill vibe and I really like the high ceiling.  It has a good amount of tables and a function room that is perfect for special gatherings. Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant is known for its seafood especially the live seafood and its amazing deal for fresh oysters.

When I checked the menu, Oyster Bay has a solid line-up of Filipino dishes that will surely make any balikbayan or a Cebuano family have a memorable experience.  You can actually enjoy pochero, bistek, and lechon kawali with their seafood specialties here.  The prices and servings can compete really well with your favorite Filipino restaurants in malls.

There is no reason why you should not consider Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant on your next special occasion.  It's a restaurant that is a great place with great food and great service.

Dining at Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant

To end an amazing decade, I had a diet-busting lunch that included crab, oysters, palabok bites, chicken kablam, and unli-rice.  I was pleasantly surprised that the restaurant also offers unlimited servings of rice for only 75.00 pesos.  Another great thing is that the fresh oysters here are in a perpetual buy one take one promo where you can get 18 pieces of good-sized oysters for only 180 pesos. That's just oysterrific!!!

I also had the baked oysters with cheese and garlic.  They were so good that no wonder, the waiters said that it was their favorite too.  To this day, I was quite surprised that I finished over 20 oysters in one sitting plus a whole lot more.

Palabok Bites, pancit palabok in wonton

Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant is not just an awesome seafood place but they also offer some interesting dishes like chicken kablam and palabok bites.  The chicken kablam is basically crispy fried chicken skin on a skewer.  While the palabok bites, put my favorite noodles in a wonton wrap.

It is not surprising that I like both dishes a lot.  Who would not like some fried chicken skin dipped in spicy vinegar?  It will surely make you eat more rice.  The crispy wonton wrap just transformed a good noodle dish into a great appetizer.

Black Pepper Crab at Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant
Since I was dining one of the best seafood restaurants in Cebu, my main event was a Black Pepper Crab.  Just like any live seafood restaurant, at Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant you can pick a live crab, fish, shrimps, and shells and have their expert cooks make seafood to your liking.   You can also ask the waiters for some dish recommendations.

What can I say about the crabs?  No words! All I can say is that I had a big plate full of shells because I finished it all.  Delicious!!  It is not easy to finish a whole crab on your own along with a host of other dishes.

In the end, I consider my meal here as one of the best of 2019.  It was filling. It was great. But, it actually made me want some more.  The dishes that I tried was so good that it made me want to check out their other dishes.  Maybe next time, I would have some pochero, prawns, and I still probably going to have some oysters.  I will definitely be back.

How about you guys, have you dined at Oyster Bay Seafood Restaurant?
