Steak-All-You-Can at Marble + Grain Steakhouse
I love steak and I always get excited when a new steakhouse opens in Cebu. Recently I got invited by our friends from Bai Hotel to have a preview of their steak-all-you-can promo. For 999++, one can enjoy as much Certified Angus Beef Ribeye. I really think that this promo will be a big hit among Cebuano steak lovers.

A normal serving of high-quality steak in Cebu costs over 1,000 pesos. Sure there are places that offer cheaper ones but most of them use cheaper cuts of beef or lower grade beef. A good steak is kinda expensive in the country because the meat comes from countries like the USA, Australia or Japan. The transportation costs drive the prices up and there are very few local alternatives.
When Marble+Grain Steakhouse said that they will be serving a Certified Angus Beef for their promo, I was truly impressed because I believed that at 999++, it comes out like a bargain if you are big steak eater like me. A serving of steak at some of my favorite steakhouses in the city actually costs upwards 1,200 which makes Bai Hotel's steak-all-you-can promo an interesting proposition.
Kalami Cebu's Steak-All-You-Can Experience at Marble + Grain Steakhouse
It was actually my first time to visit Bai Hotel since they opened late last year. When I got the invite, I was a bit excited to see what their F and B team is capable of since I knew some of their kitchen staff. My goal really was just to have an awesome steak lunch.
My first impression was that the place looks good but I think it is too small for a restaurant that is offering a super value steak promo. I think the lines are going to be long and I would probably reserve a table first rather than going there to try your luck to get a table.
The look and feel of Marble+Grain Steakhouse are elegant and it is the type of restaurant that you should dress up when you dine there. It is even somehow romantic but more on the mature side. It is a perfect spot to celebrate a 5-year wedding anniversary.
They have an extensive selection of wines making the restaurant a good choice for steak and wine nights. For the steaks, they are giving diners a lot of choices including the ones that they dry age on their own. This is a good news for the more sophisticated steak lovers.
During our preview, they served a good line-up of side dishes, salads, and desserts but to be honest, I was really focused on their steak. I did not want to be distracted by the complimentary dishes. So when they said that we can start our lunch, I was the first one to approach British-Filipino sous chef Jaimes Van Haght for a serving of steak.
He sliced a 250-gram steak ready for grilling. I told him I wanted it medium rare. So technically, I was the first one to try out their steak-all-you-can. After a couple of minutes, my steak arrived and it was properly cooked to my liking. It had a good sear and I totally enjoyed it. I was like thinking that I can probably stay there the whole day.
Since our group wanted to have a better photo, I had them make another 200 gram steak for a post-meal photo session and I ended eating the steak. After eating around 450 grams of steak, actually still felt that I had room for more but I had to go.
All in all, I had a pleasant experience and I would surely go back there some time. At 999++, the pricing is just perfect for any steak lover out there who is looking for a new hangout. As for my final verdict, they definitely get my seal of approval.
