My Dream Car for Food Trips: Ford Everest Sport

2020 Ford Everest Sport

Ford Philippines recently launched its newest SUV, the Ford Everest Sport.  Priced at 1,868,000, this mean-looking Sports Utility Vehicle will be a formidable contender in the Under 2 Million SUV Category.  This amazing mid-size SUV is my dream car for food trips.

5 Reasons Why I Choose the Ford Everest Sport

1.  Looks
When buying cars at this price range, looks will surely matter.  I want my car to stand out especially when I will be on out of town trips.  Well, the New Ford Everest Sport is definitely a stunner with unique black body exterior accents such as a new mesh grille design, an embossed EVEREST hood badge at the front, gloss black painted wheels and exterior mirrors on the side, black tailgate applique in the rear and a ‘SPORT’ decal on the liftgate. It also has LED projector headlamps, daytime running lights, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

If you want this to be more unique, you can pick the Ford Everest Sport-exclusive Deep Blue Crystal Color.  The other color options are Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, and Arctic White.

2. Under the Hood
This SUV is powered by a 2.0L Turbo Diesel Engine which offers 180PS of power and 420Nm of torque and is matched with Ford’s latest 10-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift™ – helping to deliver better acceleration, fuel efficiency, and smoothness across on-road and off-road environments.  With this, I can visit mountainous places like Busay with ease. I can also go for long drives to Moalboal without worrying much about gas.

3.  Interior
The interior is as important as the exterior as we spend more time inside the car than just looking at it.  Ford is not making any compromises with this one as the new Everest Sport features a unique blue stitching accent around the steering wheel, dashboard, seats, center, console, and door trims delivering a sporty premium feel. Adding value to the Sport is a standard leather seat with 8-way power driver seat function, smart keyless entry with push-button start, and a power liftgate with hands-free function.  I am pretty sure that whether I am the passenger or the driver, I want to ride this car every single day.

4. Safety Features
Safety is always a priority when it comes to food trips and this car checks all the boxes.  It has Cruise Control, Electronic Power-Assist Steering (EPAS), Rear View Camera, Rear Parking Sensors, and Electronic Stability Control with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), and Roll Stability Control. Adding to all these are seven (7) airbags including side, curtain, and driver knee airbags.  The Ford Everest has a complete list of passive and active safety features.

5.  Fantastic Add-Ons
For entertainment and connectivity, it is equipped with an 8-inch LCD Touchscreen, Sync® 3 with Apple Carplay and Android Auto-Connectivity, two USB ports, and 10 speakers.  These assure that every food trip will be fun, memorable, and hassle-free as I can charge all my gadgets while listening to my favorite playlist.

At 1,868,000, the Ford Everest Sport is totally worth it and I am looking forward to taking this awesome SUV to an out of town food trip.  Watch out for that on my Youtube channel very soon.
