Wing Night Part 2: Dinner Gibb's Hot Wings with Friends
Last month, I had a "Wing Night" when I when I went to dinner twice and ate at 2 of the best chicken wing places in Cebu. The first one was Bad Boys Wingz in Talamban. After eating at Bad Boy Wingz, my wife and I proceeded to Gibb's at Hot Wings at Holy Family Subdivision II to meet up with her med school classmates. We arrived at the home-based eatery way ahead of our friends which gave our bellies and mouths a time to recover.
I always love eating at Gibb's and most of the time, I just order their hot chicken wings. For this night, I wanted to try their order dishes. I decided to try their potato wedges, carbonara, and spicy honey garlic wings.
The Spicy Honey Garlic Wings gave the chili a different twist. It has the perfect balance of sweetness, spiciness, and tanginess. It is quite refreshing to try a different of a favorite and Gibb's Hot Wings made a dish will be liked by diners who prefer something sweeter and less spicy.
The carbonara was creamy and really matches well with the spicy chicken wings. It is a good thing to know that Gibb's is not all about chicken wings as they also have a solid line-up of pasta and side dishes.
The meal would not be complete without ordering the specialty of Gibb's Hot Wings. We ordered the original and the insanely hot. As expected, I enjoyed it a lot and I really considered it as one of the best spicy chicken wings that I ever tasted.
On that night, I was also able to meet the man behind this awesome restaurant. Frank Oliva was gracious to allow me to have a photo op with him. He even gave our group a complimentary pitcher of juice.
Steph and her friends had a great time bonding and talking about the past school year. Gibb's Hot Wings has once again proven to be a great place to share a meal with friends. Check the place out and tell me how you find their food?
