#happytummy Mother's Day 2015 Part 2: Dinner at Carnivore
Just 3 days after my belly-busting Mother's Day experience at Feria, my mother arrived from Australia for a 2-week vacation. She arrived around 7 in the evening so the first thing we did was to look for a place to have dinner. My mom is very disciplined in her diet and she religiously follows what her doctor tells her to eat or not to eat. I decided to bring her to Carnivore Restaurants which is one of my favorite restaurants. She loved it there and it was a solid start of a fortnight full of food trips to some new places.
I have been to Carnivore for a couple of times and I always end up having as Instagram fans call it a "#foodgasm". Since my mom is into healthy food, I decided to get "The Catch" or their fish dish of the day. For that night, I think they had a snapper in a bed of excellently blanched veggies. My mom was pretty impressed and I was glad.
My mom ordered some salad and she was able to finish it all. I was not able to take a photo of us having dinner at Carnivore Restaurant because mommy felt she looked haggard and she does not want to take photos.
Steph ordered one of the sous vide specialties and she was able to finally taste what I was raving about a few months ago. She became an instant fan as well. Carnivore's mashed potatoes were perfect for their succulent protein masterpieces.
On that night, I was also to meet the dynamic duo behind one of Cebu's up and coming fine dining restaurants. Chefs Kurt Famador and Barbra Sia were game enough to pose for me. Having friendly owners just added another plus factor to Carnivore Restaurant.
My belated Mother's Day dinner was well worth it. I have been to Carnivore for 3 times already and it was a 5-star experience all the time. I am pretty sure that I will back soon.
