Kalami Cebu Recipes: Spaghetti with Hungarian Sausage
One of my recent New Year's resolutions to somehow minimize my rice intake to help me lose some weight. I realized that one of the best ways to keep your new year's diet promises is to prepare your own meals. Cooking your own food will help you control the portions but also the ingredients you use to make your own kitchen masterpiece. I made a Spaghetti with Hungarian Sausage in my recent kitchen adventure. This recipe takes less than 30 minutes to prepare which makes this a good dish for busy people like working moms.
One of the easiest pasta dishes to make is spaghetti. Making a delicious pasta meal is very straightforward. You just basically cook the noodles then make your sauce. I really like it because it's a quick way to have a filling meal. My simple Hungarian Sausage sauce has just 5 ingredients.
1 can Hunt's Pasta Sauce
2 pieces Hungarian Sausage diced
1 bulb Onions chopped
1 garlic
Oil for cooking
Instructions:
1. Dice and chop the onion, garlic, and sausage.
2. Cook pasta using the package instructions. Do not forget to put salt and oil (or butter) in the water that will be used for boiling the noodles.
3. Sautee the onions and garlic using medium heat.
4. Add the sausage and let it brown. Add salt and pepper and let the juices of the sausage coat the onions and garlic.
5. Add the spaghetti sauce and bring to boil.
6. Once it boils, lower heat and let the sauce simmer for a couple of minutes. Put it on a container.
7. In a plate, put a generous amount of pasta then pour some sauce on it. You can top your spaghetti with some cheese if available.

Cooking Time: 20 Minutes
I always love to cook spaghetti because it is fast, affordable, and you have lots of room for experimentation. As an added bonus kids love it too!
