Wishlist: Red Crab
Last year I visited Manila and I made sure that I will eat in one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I love to eat crabs and my favorite crab restaurant is The Red Crab. When I was still based in Manila, I usually go to the Seafood Club by Red Crab in Greenbelt 3 and feast on crabs in their eat-all-you-can buffet. Drool always comes out of my mouth every time I remember those days.
Fast forward 2014, we were at the Newport mall at Resorts World Manila and I saw a familiar name. I was like a kid pleading to my wife to eat there. I know it is going to be a bit expensive but I have been craving to eat at Red Crab for 5 years already so I pulled all stops to convince my wife to eat there.
We ordered Crab Maritess and Garlic prawns. I made sure that I had one of those giant pincers and feasted on the sweet and succulent crabmeat of the popular Crab Maritess. I was very happy and satisfied and my craving was solved. If I go to Manila again, I will probably have the buffet version at Glorietta instead, because I think my appetite fits more to an eat-all-you-can place.
I really wish that a similar place opens in Cebu. I love seafoods and King Crabs are probably on top my list because of its non-availability in Cebu. My former favorite were prawns but I can find many places to eat prawns and I can even cook it at home anytime. I want to see a restaurant in Cebu that will serve high quality crabs. I want to see giant pincers and I want an eat-all-you-can restaurant. It might be a bit too much to ask but I know there are many people like me waiting for a place like that. ;)

Wow, I like Red Crab. I think I've tried eating at a restaurant like this - in Tomas Morato, just once.
