#MeetEatRepeat: Jullian Sibi's Housewarming
It has been a while since the #Hibsters leads had a get-together . We finally found a good reason to meet up when Jullian Sibi's family moved in to their new house in Guadalupe. I also wanted to celebrate landing a new job. Here is what we did in our latest Kalaminions #MeetEatRepeat session.
#MeetEatRepeat: New Beginnings
Life is like a book that we moved from one chapter to another. Moving to a new house or a new job brings about new possibilities. Indeed, it is good reason to celebrate. So, what do you want to eat to celebrate a milestone?
In Cebu, it is a no-brainer that we will buy some lechon or inasal during happy times. That weekend was no different. We bought lechon from CNT which moved to a new location in V. Rama Avenue. Their new restaurant looks way better than the previous location and it looks like that they want to be serious contender in the next #LechonWar. We bought a kilo of lechon and some dinuguan (blood stew).
Aside from the meat, we also bought some seafood from a roadside eatery in Andres Abellana. This eatery is where taxi drivers normally flock for lunch or dinner.
I also bought some ngohiong from Carlos Ngohiong.
For drinks, I brought some Fat Bastard Wines and Jullian brought some Ice Tea.
Kalaminions of the Week
There were 7 of us lead by Jullian Sibi of http://www.utterlyrandomtechie.com/. His family just moved in to a beautiful home in Guadalupe. Best buds Kath of http://www.nestedthoughts.com/ and Ramzy of http://ramzyrizzle.blogspot.com/ were there along with fellow CBC leads Rome Bonsocan of http://bastabisaya.com/ and Johannah Frejoles of http://beanintransit.com/. We were joined by Sean Soliven of http://hishiddenletters.com/.
The Meal
It was a feast. The lechon and dinuguan combo was unbeatable. We also had grilled squid and fish along with the ngohiong. I think we will be doing more of these house meet-ups very soon because Jullian was an excellent host and he said we are always welcome to his house.
The Cebu Blogging Community Leads were missing Rea because she was in JPark claiming her prize in the blog contest. Congratulations by the way to Rea, Kath, Ram, Herbert, Shanky, and Emelie for winning great prizes from JPark Island Resort.
Before we parted ways, we all went to Ice Giants to devour a Giant Halo-Halo for our dessert.
It was another amazing #MeetEatRepeat session and I am looking forward to more of these in the future. Here's to new beginnings and continuous growth! Happy Easter!!!
